No minimum order, duty paid, from 4 weeks to your door
Hoodies & Heavyweight Fleece
Heavyweight fleece and French terry, 280–480 GSM. One all-in price with freight and US duty inside it.
Pattern-making and duty included. Credited in full against your first order
Freight is charged by weight and a hoodie is heavy for its value, so a thousand plain pieces bought on price alone is not an order we win. We say so up front.
Where we are worth it: when the hoodie ships alongside a jacket order and shares the freight, when you need a handful of pieces rather than five hundred, or when you need them inside the dates on our lead-time table.

Who this is for
Brands completing a drop rather than building one around fleece, and groups who want something softer alongside the jackets.

Weights and fabrics
We quote GSM, not adjectives. “Heavyweight” is a marketing word; 400 GSM is a fact you can hold a supplier to.
| Option | What it is | Cost | How it behaves |
|---|---|---|---|
| 280–320 GSM | Standard weight, everyday wear | Lightest | Drapes softly, ships cheapest |
| 350–400 GSM | Heavyweight, structured | Mid | Holds its shape. The usual retail choice |
| 420–480 GSM | Very heavy, premium feel | Highest | Boxy and substantial. Costs most to ship |
| French terry | Looped inside, smooth outside | Mid | Year-round, takes print well |
| Brushed fleece | Soft brushed interior | Mid | Warmest, slightly softer print surface |
Weight is the first thing a customer notices and the thing most listings stay vague about. If you are selling at a premium price, put the GSM in your own product copy — it is checkable.
Heavier fabric costs more to make and considerably more to ship. At 480 GSM freight can add more per piece than the fabric upgrade did, which is worth knowing before you specify it. Fabric also changes the duty: cotton-rich knits land at a lower US rate than predominantly polyester ones.
We are worth it when the hoodie is part of a jacket order, when the quantity is small, or when you need it inside the dates on our lead-time table. Outside those three cases, a volume mill is the better buy.
What is actually in the hoodie
The specification we work to unless you ask for something different.
| Part | Specification |
|---|---|
| Fabric | Cotton-rich French terry or brushed fleece, 280–480 GSM |
| Seams | Overlocked and coverstitched at hem and cuff |
| Hood | Two or three panel, self-lined, flat drawcord |
| Hardware | Metal eyelets and tipped cords on request |
| Kangaroo pouch, bar-tacked at the openings | |
| Ribbing | Cotton-elastane rib at cuffs and hem |
| Labels | Woven main label, care and content label, size label |
The flats above are the drawings our cutters work from, with the tolerance our inspectors check against. Your order is measured to the same numbers.
Sizing and fit blocks
Three blocks: standard, boxy and oversized. The difference is mostly body width and sleeve length, and it changes how a print sits far more than people expect.
If you are printing large artwork across the chest, tell us the block first. A design proofed on a standard block and produced on an oversized one sits low and looks like a mistake.

Standard block. A boxy or oversized block adds body width and shortens the length, and it changes where a chest print sits – tell us the block before artwork is proofed.
Your sample confirms the fit before production. We measure it with you, adjust the block, and your approved piece becomes the standard the whole order is checked against.

Questions buyers ask
Questions buyers ask about hoodie orders
Everything we are asked before a first order, answered here rather than in an email thread.
Usually because they are going out alongside a jacket order and sharing the freight, or because the quantity is small and you need it quickly. For a thousand plain pieces on price alone we are not your best option, and we say so now rather than after a week of samples.
We quote GSM. 280 to 320 is standard, 350 to 400 is what most people mean by heavyweight, and 420 to 480 is genuinely heavy and genuinely expensive to ship. Any supplier who will not give you a number is hoping you will not ask for one.
Screen print for flat colour on a smooth face, DTF for photographic artwork, puff for a raised finish, embroidery for logos and small marks. All of them are in the price. We recommend by fabric weight and by what your artwork actually is.
Within reason. Fleece and melton take dye differently and a perfect match across two fabrics is not something to promise. We dye to the same reference, send you both, and let you decide before production.
