How it works
A sketch to a finished sample in your hands in fourteen days, your approval, then four weeks to your door at fifty pieces. Every step below carries the number of days it adds.
Sending us a design
A sketch, a photograph, or a jacket you already own is enough. You do not need a tech pack: pattern-making is inside the sample fee.
That matters more than it sounds. Most factories will not work from less than a full specification sheet, which is the hardest barrier for a first-time brand owner — you cannot produce a tech pack without a pattern cutter, and you cannot justify a pattern cutter before you have sold anything.
What helps, if you have it: measurements from a garment that fits the way you want, artwork in vector, and a target retail price. The last one is the most useful thing you can send, because it lets us tell you what is achievable at that number.
From idea to approved sample
The path a new product actually takes, with how long each step adds. The first sample covers pattern-making and one finished piece. A second round, if you need one, is the same fee again.
01
Day 0
Your brief
A sketch, a photograph, a reference jacket, or measurements. Whatever you have.
02
Days 1-3
Pattern made
Drafted and graded by our own pattern cutters. Included in the sample fee.
03
Days 2-4
Materials and colours
Swatch photographs of the leathers, linings and rib colours sent to you to pick from.
04
Day 14
Sample 1 in your hands
One finished piece, made on the production line, delivered to your door.
05
Yours
Your fit notes
Measure it, wear it, mark it up. Send photographs and numbers; we read both.
06
+14 days
Sample 2, if needed
Normal rather than a failure. Same fee as the first, and most good products go through two.
07
Day 0 of production
Approval
The approved sample becomes the standard your bulk is measured against.
08
Inside production
Graded across sizes
XS to 3XL from your approved block, to the published size chart.
What the sample fee covers
One finished piece, your design, made on the same line and by the same machinists who will make your production. Not a mock-up, and not a stock jacket with your label sewn in.
- Pattern-making from your sketch, photograph or garment
- Your artwork redrawn to production files
- One finished piece, made on the production line
- Delivery to your US address
A second round is normal and costs the same again. What a sample at this price is not: a set of fabric options, or three variations to choose between.

Approval and production
The approved sample becomes the standard your bulk is measured against. That is what makes the remake policy mean anything — there is a physical object in your hands to hold us to.
Locked at approval: materials and grade, every measurement, hardware, lining, labels, and decoration placement. We photograph the approved sample from every angle and that set travels with the order to the floor.
Changes after approval need a new sample. A supplier who cheerfully accepts a change mid-production is about to make fifty jackets nobody has seen.
Quality control
Published as a checklist with tolerances in it, so you can hold us to a number rather than to an adjective.
| Stage | What is checked | Tolerance |
|---|---|---|
| Cutting | Panel shape against pattern, grain direction, hide defects mapped and avoided | ±3 mm |
| In line | Seam type, stitch density, panel alignment, bar-tacks at stress points | 8 SPI |
| Decoration | Patch and print placement against the approved proof, spelling of every name | ±5 mm |
| Hardware | Zips run smoothly, snaps engage, rivets seated, pulls secure | Every piece |
| Measurement | Chest, length, sleeve, shoulder against the approved sample | ±1 cm |
| Finishing | Threads trimmed, leather conditioned, pressed, labelled, bagged | Every piece |
Inspection is ours, in-house, on the floor — not a certificate from a third party we paid once.
You see it before it flies
Every order is photographed before despatch and the images are sent to you. If something is wrong we hold the shipment on the ground rather than in the air.
Standard on every order, not an extra and not only on the large ones. A problem caught before shipping costs a few days; the same problem caught after delivery costs a season.
If it is wrong
If it does not match your approved sample, we remake it. We pay freight both ways, and the remake runs ahead of new work — your pattern and materials are already on file, so it skips sampling.
What does not qualify: a change of mind about a design you approved, natural variation in leather grain within the stated tolerance, and damage after delivery. The exclusions are published, because a policy with no limits is one nobody intends to honour.
If the fault is ours and you want a refund rather than a remake, take the refund.
Your design is yours
Your patterns and artwork are commercially valuable, and you are handing them to a supplier you have not met. So the terms are in writing on a page you can find.
A design you bring us is never produced for anyone else, never made in another colour for a different customer, and never offered to anyone as a stock design. We do not show your work publicly without written permission. Ask us to delete your files and we will, within seven days.
Payment, shipping and duty
50% when you place the order, 50% before shipping. Once we have confirmed your design, we email an invoice with a secure payment link – card or bank transfer. On a first order, pay by card: the chargeback protection is yours. Freight is inside the delivered price at a fixed figure, so a moving rate does not reach you.
On the all-in price, US import duty is paid by our forwarder and is already inside the number, so nothing is collected at your door. If you choose the duty-unpaid price, you pay duty on arrival as the importer of record. We publish the estimated rate per product with its HTS code, and your exact rate goes in writing before you pay.
When it sells and you need more
Your pattern, materials, decoration proofs and approved sample images stay on file. A reorder skips sampling entirely and runs to the same published dates as a first order, at the band for whatever quantity you order next.
| Order size | In the factory | To your door |
|---|---|---|
| Sample | under 1 week | 14 days |
| 5-50 pieces | 2 weeks | 4 weeks |
| 200+ pieces | 3-4 weeks | 6 weeks |
We publish the date we can keep, not the one we can hit on a good week.
Bring us the idea.
A sketch, a photograph or a jacket you already own. Pattern-making is included and the sample is in your hands in fourteen days.
