Design ownership & NDA

A design you bring us is produced for you and for nobody else.

Why we say this first

Because your design will not be the only one on the floor. Any supplier running more than one account has to answer this question, so the terms are on a page you can find rather than in a reassurance you have to ask for.

Handing your pattern to a factory you have not met is the part of this that keeps people awake, and the fear is reasonable: a design is the only thing a small brand really owns. So the terms are on a page you can find, before you ask, rather than in a reassuring sentence once you have raised it.

What we commit to

Your patterns, artwork, specifications and samples stay yours. We hold them on file so a reorder skips sampling entirely, and we use them for your orders only.

We do not produce your design for another customer, in another colour, or in a way that is recognisably yours. We do not show your work in our portfolio or on social media without written permission — and when we ask, no is a complete answer.

Ask us to delete your files and we will, in writing, within seven days.

The NDA itself

Mutual, short, and offered before you ask. Send us yours signed and we will sign it, or ask for ours and we will send it the same working day.

We sign before you send us anything sensitive, not after.

Once it is signed, the development path is the same for everyone: brief, pattern, materials, sample, your fit notes, approval.

From idea to approved sample

Ask us for the NDA

Bring us the idea.

The NDA is signed before you send us anything. Pattern-making is inside the sample fee, and the sample is in your hands in fourteen days.
